* 3 1/4 cups of 2% milk
* 6 ounces white chocolate baking squares, chopped
* 1 egg, beaten
* a pinch of cayenne pepper
* 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Directions
1. Place the white chocolate in a medium metal bowl over a pan of barely simmering water, or in the top half of a double boiler. Allow the chocolate to melt, stirring occasionally until smooth. Stir in cayenne pepper and cinnamon. Whisk in the egg until smooth.
2. Gradually whisk in one cup of the milk until completely incorporated, about 2 minutes. Gradually whisk in remaining milk, and heat until hot, but not simmering. You do not want a skin to form on top of the milk. It will be ready to drink when either the taste of the cayenne is masked by the temperature of the milk (the spiciness of the pepper will remain), or when the hot chocolate is at your desired temperature. Ladle the hot chocolate into mugs and garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon.
First–my apologies if theis comes in the wrong spot *(as it’s not abpout pets) but relates to a post you made about looking at the night sky and tripping on a curb…hope you’re okay!
I took this photo through the lens of the Dyer Observatory telescope in Brewnwood, TN in March 2007. Not great quality but the actual look through the telescope humbled me, to say the least. We are SO small!

we got Jimmie @8wks old, he’s 4 months
Jimmie fell in love with us at first site, and so did we!
This is my big 12-year-old baby, Chuck. I’ve had him since he was a puppy, and after all we’ve been through, I feel the question “Who rescued who?” definitely applies. He’s a German Shepherd/Doberman mix with some Rottweiler thrown in, and he has the most awesome smile.
This is my boyfriend Javier with his 14 yr old lab/shephard mix, girl, Cosmo… the sweetest dog I have ever known.. .this pic was taken in Sep 09 and she passed away in Dec 09
These are my babies Moxie & Roxie! They are 4 yrs old sisters who ‘rescued’ me, 2 years ago. At 2.5 lbs and 3 lbs respectively, they are not your typical yappie Chi’s, they are total love bugs that snuggle, steal covers and have a thing for fruit. My life is so awesome with these lil princesses in it!
This is one of our many pets Neha. She is an American Bulldog. She lives with me, my husband, my son, my daughter, a Chinese Crested, 2 cats and 2 snakes. Yes we have quite a family, but it is so much fun.
This is Bear. He’s 9 weeks old and a Jack Russell Terrier/Chihuahua. He hops or wobbles wherever he goes and thinks he’s a big scary bear. Sooo vicious lol. I adopted him from a young woman in the Walmart parking lot and he makes me laugh constantly.
This is my favorite little man, Puck. We are learning to run agility. One of his FAVORITE things to do is run next door and fuss at the horse (Chief), the pony (Peanut) and the chocolate lab (Wyatt). Luckily the neighbors love critters so they are amused with his thought that his 12 pounds can take on ‘all that’. LOL!
This is one of the loves of my life, Zoee Baker, oozing out of her dog bed. One of her many fascinating tricks! She’s a Pembroke Welsh Corgi that we adopted after my Chyna girl died and she has not only filled that hole in my life, but has gone above and beyond in being the perfect critter for me.
Here’s Precious. She loves to check out the places I travel to by hopping into my briefcase. Here she is assisting me by handing me one of my pencils so I can jot down an important note.
They are full blooded brothers from different litters..
Brindle Olde English Bulldogs. Rosco weighs in at 75lbs & Diesel Dog weighs in at 90lbs.
Always causing trouble & running a muck whenever they can. They love car rides & camping.
This is Jack. We found him 2 years ago when we were camping. He is grateful to have a home with another dog and two cats to play with. He loves to swim.
This is Oscar, he’s a fat lazy pug and one of the seetest dogs I’ve ever had. His tongue hangs out all the time and yes that makes it very dry. He does not seem to mind. Nothing bothers him except being kissed. He hates it and will run away. haha
This is Cowboy. He is an orphaned kitten found in an Oklahoma field. My daughter brought him home to Pittsburgh where he is thriving with his adopted siblings.
Here is my Buddy Bear, he is the best dog ever, loves everyone but does his job, cutes thing is to watch him lay down on the ground next to my 3mos old son while hes on his play mat.
This is Tinkerbell. I made a cuddly fort for her out of pillows and blankets on my bed, the results are adorable but now I have no pillows! The sacrifices we make for the comfort of our pets! She’s my big meatball cat. 7 years old.
This is my pup, Theo. I adopted him about a month ago from a rescue. He is half schnauzer, half poodle. He is modeling my awesome Kate Spade bag that I bought at a rummage sale for $12.00. He appreciates that I am a Bitch on a Budget!! Though I’m never a bitch to him!
